The Wellington Creative Fibre Area extends from Levin across to Masterton and south to Cook Straight. Our groups meet regularly, sharing and learning new skills. Teaching workshops are offered over a wide range of the textile disciplines ranging from rank beginners to the more experienced. These include spinning, knitting, felting, weaving, textile jewellery, tapestry weaving, crochet and textile art form. Often a mixture of techniques is used in one piece of work. The small groups exhibit on a regular basis and the whole area has a major exhibition biennially. Please feel free to contact our Area Delegate for any further information.

We meet informally every other Tuesday of the month in various local spots (for example the Johnsonville Mall or Library) and sometimes use those Tuesdays to visit exhibitions. We look forward to seeing you.
