The Wellington Creative Fibre Area extends from Levin across to Masterton and south to Cook Straight. Our groups meet regularly, sharing and learning new skills. Teaching workshops are offered over a wide range of the textile disciplines ranging from rank beginners to the more experienced. These include spinning, knitting, felting, weaving, textile jewellery, tapestry weaving, crochet and textile art form. Often a mixture of techniques is used in one piece of work. The small groups exhibit on a regular basis and the whole area has a major exhibition biennially. Please feel free to contact our Area Delegate for any further information.
