Cross Country Weavers are a group of Creative Fibre members with an active interest in weaving who enjoy communicating with like-minded people. CCW is based in small groups of approximately 6–8 people who share samples and ideas. Each group is set a weaving topic to explore for the year. At the end of the year group members send each other two weaving samples – one for the set topic and one of their own choice. It’s a great way to extend your weaving skills by handling actual fabric from the samples we receive. Any Creative Fibre member with an active interest in weaving at any level of expertise can join – members use a variety of looms from rigid heddle to multi-shaft table and floor looms. CCW members build up a library of samples for all to enjoy. These can be freely borrowed at no cost, except for the return postage. Contact our librarian Linda Millington to borrow a set of samples. Our annual fee is $5 (within New Zealand only) to cover the postage cost of sending out samples.

If you would like further information about CCW, please contact convenor Annie MacKenzie.
