Indigo Dyeing and Shibori
One or two-day workshop for all levels of experience
Students will make their own individual indigo vat for use during the workshop, and learn how to look after it. Various shibori techniques will be taught, including stitching, binding, clamping, pole wrapping. Take home beautiful pieces dyed using this serendipitous ancient craft. Scarves, or smaller pieces suitable for bags, cushions, wall hangings.

Shibori using Procion dyes or silk paints
One or two-day workshop for all levels of experience
Learn various methods of shibori on fabric to produce vibrant coloured scarves , wraps, cushion covers etc. Methods taught will include stitch, binding, clamping and pole wrap shibori resist techniques.

Marbling on paper or fabric
One day workshop
A beginner’s guide to the ancient craft of marbling – layering paint on a gel medium, manipulating the paint to form beautiful patterns reminiscent of marble, and transferring to paper or fabric. Although suitable for beginners, all levels of experience will enjoy the day.

‘Slashed’ fabric
One day workshop (sewing machine needed)
Construct a fascinating scrumptious fabric suitable for bags, cushions, wall-hangings, from a variety of weights and textures of scrap fabric.
