The members of Poverty Bay Woolcrafters are proud to be hosting the Creative Fibre National Education Event 2018. We hope you will join us for three days of fibre indulgence, meeting up with old friends, and making new ones.
All activities will be held at the Farmers Air Showgrounds Event Centre, 20 Main Road, Makaraka, Gisborne. There will be an on-site caterer with the best coffee and cabinet food in town.
We have one international and 18 New Zealand tutors who will inspire you with their wide array of workshops. Eight ‘have-a-go’ classes will be available on Sunday morning for anyone wishing to sample a new craft. You can register for these on arrival. And why not join in the fun and enter the Paint Chart Colour Challenge? Most importantly, traders will be coming from all parts of our nation so you can add to your stash!
While you are here, try to find time to enjoy our district. Gisborne has so much to offer – arboretums, walkways, museums and one of the best farmers’ markets in New Zealand is held on Saturday mornings. Visit www.tairawhitigisborne.co.nz for local attractions – walking trails, Eastwoodhill and Hackfalls Arboretum, Tairawhiti Museum and East Coast Museum of Technology, galleries, wineries, stingray feeding, cultural and historic tours, and outdoor experiences and dining.
We look forward to seeing you in May – it’s going to be a lot of fun!
