Regeneration

Pataka Museum of Art and Culture, Norrie Street, Porirua
The Wellington Area of Creative Fibre is holding an exhibition called Regeneration, which embraces recycling, renewal and regrowth. there are also three other textile exhibitions Lightwaves, Sharing Stories ( Textiles from Around the World ) and Amazing Lace.

An Arable Tale

Franklin Arts and Cultural Trust in Pukekoh

National Exhibition 2008

Claudelands Events Centre, Hamilton
.It is on at the same time as the Australian Craft and Quilt Fair which will be downstairs in the event centre.The exhibition will be open to the public from Thursday 18th September and will close on Tuesday 23rd September. There will be a private opening and award presenting on Wednesday 17th September.
There is a special one off award from The Australian Craft and Quilt people -Category - The Expertise Creativity Award Prize money- $300. Description- Using Expertise Events new company colours of chocolate ad orange, show your creativity and expertise using any techniques and utilising New Zealand's textiles. More details to come.

WoolOn Creative Fashion Event

Pioneer Park, Alexandra
The WoolOn Creative Fashion Event showcases fashion and wearable art in wool, making it the most unique event of its type in New Zealand. There is more than $5,000 in prize money across the Supreme Award and Category Awards, with entries received from all over New Zealand. Judges for 2008 are Emily Cooper (Silkbody), Diane Gamble (Tamahine) and Amanda Waugh (Waugh’s Boutique). WoolOn is the closing glamour event of the 2008 Contact Alexandra Blossom Festival. Creative Fibre Exhibition
The Otago Spinning and Weaving Association will be holding an Area Exhibition at the Art Station, Dunedin. The exhibition will run from the 9th to the 18th of October inclusive. Members are cordially invited to our exhibition opening on the evening of the 8th of October.
