•  Co-ordinate Creative Fibre’s Correspondence Course programme

WORKSHOPS AND TUTORS

We maintain a list of excellent, experienced fibrecraft tutors.The list of tutors and workshops is continually updated.  A complete list including contact information is available from Area Delegates or contact the Education Convenor. It is important to remember to complete and return evaluation forms for workshops so that we can maintain a high standard of educational opportunities for our members.

CORRESPONDENCE COURSES
There are several correspondence courses available to members. Each course is made up of a set of specific modules to be completed within a given time-frame.

Completion of each course leads to a NZSWWS Certificate.
Course fees vary according to the course structure and content.
Courses offered in 2012 are advertised in the Creative Fibre magazine.
Samples of work by past students will be displayed on the Education Desk at Festival.

SELF-DIRECTED DISTANCE LEARNING SCHEME
The Education Committee match your requirements with an experienced Mentor and you work together to arrange a time frame and level of achievement. (Small administration fee.)

RESOURCES
Creative Fibre offers an extensive library featuring a wide range of skills and crafts including videos, DVDs, CDs
and Creative Fibre Study Collections. These resources are provided free to all Affiliated Members within NZ. The Society pays the outward postage – the borrower pays the return postage. Click here for information about Resources

VISITING OVERSEAS TUTORS
Each odd year Creative Fibre sponsors at least one overseas tutor.
In 2011 this was world class weaver Maryann Stamford from Australia. 
In 2013 the Visiting Overseas Tutor will be Patsy Zawistoski from America.

TRAVELLING TUTORS
Each even year Creative Fibre sponsors tutors travel to other areas to hold workshops at Group level. In 2012 National will pay for all travel for the Travelling Tutor.  Please contact your Area Delegate to nominate a Travelling Tutor.
