The Group Runway Challenge is an ongoing twelve month project beginning with registration at Auckland Festival in April 2016.
The Challenge is based on the popular TV series Project Runway combined with Slow Fashion Movement concepts, which focus on locally sourced materials and the use of traditional skills. All Creative Fibre Groups are invited to form teams to design and create an outfit for one of their team members to model at Canterbury Festival in 2017. Teams are encouraged to promote the principles of Creative Fibre by enlisting outside help. Progress updates will be included on the Creative Fibre website. The winning team will choose a workshop provided by a Creative Fibre Tutor to the value of $1000.
